Disaster Chill Stewart's Hot Streak Friday, June 29th, 2018 Bill Stewart of the Alloway Halberds came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 3 at-bats. That put a quick end to his 22-game hitting streak. To make matters even worse, Alloway dropped the game to the Port Royal Disaster 4-3. In a postgame comment Stewart told the press, "It was not a good day today. We lost the game and the streak is over." This season in 47 games, Stewart has hit at a .306 clip with 53 hits, 4 home runs, 18 RBIs and 24 runs scored. |
