Stewart Hits in 20 Straight Games Sunday, June 24th, 2018 Bill Stewart collected 2 hits in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Alloway Halberds, beat Alaskan 10-5. After the ballgame, Stewart quipped to a BNN reporter, "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball. I'm pretty excited how things are clicking." Bill Stewart doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 4th, struck out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. This year Stewart is batting .307 with 4 home runs and 17 RBIs. |
