2017 UAA #1 Hitter is Leupp's Gil Thursday, September 21st, 2017 Juan Gil went on a season-long hitting spree against USPL Double A pitchers and captured the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2017. The Leupp center fielder battered the opposition for 115 hits, 18 doubles, 4 triples, 25 home runs, 65 runs batted in and 73 runs scored. He hit .276 and posted a .356 on-base percentage.Dustin Johnstone of the Irving Blue Sox finished second in voting, while Randy Bowen of the Westwood Sixshooters finished third. |
