UAA Names González Outstanding Pitcher Award Winner Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 22-year-old Miguel González of the Irving Blue Sox put together a good year in 2017 for such a young player. González was named today as the winner of the USPL Double A Outstanding Pitcher Award. González crafted an impressive 10-5 record and a 2.93 ERA. In 162.2 innings he allowed 141 hits, struck out 220, and walked 61.John Buck of the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles finished second in voting, while Hallinan Udny of the Tacoma Fur Traders finished third. |
