Hitting Streak Still Alive for Patino Saturday, August 12th, 2017 Win, lose or draw -- Gilberto Patino just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Huntington Beach Surf catcher picked up 1 hit in 4 at-bats today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 5-1 by the Colorado Springs Velocity at Surf Ballpark. Gilberto Patino grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th and doubled in the 8th. This season Patino has banged out 92 hits in 293 at-bats for a .314 average with 9 home runs. He is getting on base at a .377 pace and his totals also include 44 RBIs and 37 runs scored. |
