2017 MAA Outstanding Pitcher Award Named Friday, September 22nd, 2017 The Outstanding Pitcher Award for 2017 has been presented and the M3L Double A winner is Robert Byrd of Villa Ridge. "It's always nice to receive an award like this," said Byrd. "I just hope I can improve on my performance next year and be in the running again," the Bronchos star told reporters. Byrd excelled with an impressive 13-3 record in 23 starts. In 149 innings he yielded 162 hits and 41 walks, while striking out 97 and compiling a fine 4.71 ERA.Miguel Angel Gómez of the Salem Misfits finished second in voting, while Robinson Gonzáles of the Virginia Beach Deuces finished third. |
