August's #1 Starter Named in MAA Friday, September 1st, 2017 There's something about a young rookie winning the M3L Double A Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Brent Riley, a 21-year-old starter for the Virginia Beach Deuces. In August, he topped off the month with a 4-0 mark and 3.94 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 45.2 innings, fanned 45 and held opposing teams to a .234 average. Currently Riley has a record of 8-4 with 129 strikeouts and 41 walks in 128 innings and a 4.64 ERA. |
