MAA Honors Martínez, Best Hitter in August Friday, September 1st, 2017 Salvador Martínez is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Villa Ridge third baseman joined that select company when the M3L Double A announced the results of August's voting. Martínez totaled 38 hits, 12 walks, 5 home runs, 35 RBIs and 22 runs scored last month to put together a .388 batting average and .451 on-base percentage. This season Martínez has delivered 117 hits in 352 at-bats for a .332 average with 14 home runs. He is getting on base at a .420 clip and his totals also include 79 RBIs and 70 runs scored. This year Martínez has played in 103 games. |
