Cooper Pounds MAA Pitchers This Week Monday, May 16th, 2016 20-year-old Daniel Cooper made a few St. Petersburg headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and M3L Double A officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .440 average. Cooper collected 4 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 7 runs. This season Cooper is batting .307 with 6 home runs. He has scored 19 runs and driven in 21. |
