August's Top Hurler is Murray Friday, September 1st, 2017 Peter Murray was a long shot to make the Oceanside Oceanliners this year, especially being a 32-year-old rookie. Now the Oceanside hurler has parlayed a 5-1 record into the League 1 AAA Pitcher of the Month award. In August, he chalked up 19 strikeouts in 39.2 innings and compiled a 2.72 ERA. To date this season, Murray has registered 8 starts, 7-2 won-lost mark, 5.35 ERA, 67.1 IP, 39 strikeouts and 36 walks. Opposing teams have hit .287 against him. |
