Nobles Shut out Oceanliners, Steele Winner Saturday, August 12th, 2017 Chuck Steele effectively shut down the Oceanliners today, blanking them 16-0 on 4 hits, ringing up 8 strikeouts and allowing no walks. The Nobles pitcher appeared to get stronger as the game went on. "I don't know if I was getting any stronger," Steele said after the game, "I feel like my mechanics were getting better. I was able to make some adjustments and get a little more comfortable out there." The Oceanliners skipper said, "We had some opportunities, but weren't able to execute. We just didn't swing the bats very well today." This year Steele has compiled a 6-4 mark with a 3.75 ERA. |
