Atlanta-Brooklyn Make Major Trade Wednesday, October 11th, 2017 Shocker! The Atlanta Smoke have reached an agreement with the Brooklyn Dodgers that will send the Smoke 22-year-old starting pitcher John Kaufman to the Dodgers for 23-year-old starting pitcher Alec Pittman, 22-year-old minor league starting pitcher Fred Pitts, 31-year-old starting pitcher Jesús Martínez, 26-year-old catcher Mal Bussard and $7,500,000 in cash. Commenting on the transaction, the Atlanta GM said, "This was a deal we couldn't resist." In his lifetime, the 22-year-old Kaufman has won 14 and lost 9, piling up 128 strikeouts with a 3.88 ERA. Opponents have hit .230 against him. |
