Silver Breaks Record with Long Ball
Tuesday, September 26th, 2017
If chicks dig the long ball, then they're loving Mike Silver right now. The Louisville Slugs' first baseman broke the single-season record for home runs with a blast at Churchill Grounds. It was homer number 48 for Silver this year. The previous mark was held by Guillermo Romero.

Mike Silver grounded out in the 1st, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off John Braun in the 6th and homered off Gary Thomas in the 7th.

So far this season Silver has 48 home runs and a .340 batting average.
