Walls Gets 5 Hits Wednesday, August 23rd, 2017 On top of the Brooklyn hit parade today was Christian Walls. He went to the plate 7 times and marched away with 5 hits, sparking the Dodgers to a 25-1 victory over the Lexington BC. The sweet swinging left fielder told reporters, "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere. When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." The skipper of the BC wailed to the press, "Too much plate. Not the way we planned it. Any hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Christian Walls singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, walked in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season Walls is batting .268 with 2 home runs. His totals include 26 RBIs and 56 runs scored. |
