García 6-7 Against Louisville Friday, August 11th, 2017 History in the making. That's what the fans at Hotspur Field got to see today in the Louisville 6-5 triumph over the Hotspur. Domingo García of the Phoenix came to the plate 7 times and came away with a dynamite day as he exploded for 6 hits against the Slugs. "It was a great day for me, but a disappointing one for our fans," he said to the reporters covering the game. "I wish I could have won it for them. They like stats, but they love winning." In the postgame press conference the Louisville skipper quipped to reporters, "Hey, we tried to get him out. We threw everything but the kitchen sink against him and he hit it. Maybe we should've thrown the kitchen sink. I am just glad we escaped with a win. García was lethal." Domingo García struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th, hit an RBI double in the 9th, doubled in the 11th and singled in the 12th. Thus far this season García has hit .258 with 7 home runs, 36 RBIs and scored 33 times. |
