Week's Premier Player: Tuscaloosa's García Monday, August 4th, 2014 So far in his young career, Manuel García has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the League 2 in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 21-year-old Tuscaloosa Tide center fielder hit at a torrid .481 clip as he collected 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 1 home run, 8 RBIs and 8 runs scored. So far this year García is batting .284 with 6 home runs. |
