Valentine of Boston Player of the Week Monday, August 4th, 2014 George Valentine had a week for the ages as he romped to the League I Player of the Week Award. The happy-go-lucky 35-year-old still plays ball like a kid, mashing and slashing as he goes. The Boston Patriots left fielder hit .409 last week as he chalked up 9 hits in 22 at-bats, 7 home runs, 10 RBIs and 7 runs scored. Valentine has collected 110 hits for the Patriots this year, 32 of them home runs. He has also netted 88 RBIs and scored 79 runs while batting .324. |
