Thursday, September 12th, 2030
The Quincy Doughboys might think twice next time about pitching to Carlos Ramírez.
At Ballpark of Sunrise Manor today, the Roy Eagle Squadron center fielder burned Quincy pitching, going 5-for-8 in a 10-6 Roy triumph.
"When he's on his game," Roy skipper Ed Driskell told reporters, "he can probably stroke a base hit blindfolded."
Carlos Ramírez grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th, hit an RBI single in the 10th, grounded out in the 12th and hit a two-run single in the 13th.
So far this season Ramírez has gotten 36 hits in 111 at-bats for a .324 batting average with no home runs. His stats include 18 RBIs and 14 runs scored. He has played in 29 games.
