The Amity Gardens reliever won the Pitcher of the Month Award honors today for August, thanks to the solid numbers he put up coming out of the bullpen. He made no relief appearances and compiled no saves with a 4-1 mark, 37 innings, 38 strikeouts and a 1.70 ERA. León has earned no saves and a 6-1 mark this season with a 1.81 earned run average in no relief appearances. He has worked 49.2 innings, yielded 36 hits, struck out 52 batters and walked 11. |
