Darth Whalers Jude Miller Down and Out for Year Thursday, August 22nd, 2030 The doctors have spoken and Jude Miller of the Hartford Darth Whalers didn't like what he heard. The 19-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Miller sustained his season-ending injury during the Quincy Doughboys game yesterday at Augusta-Richmond Grounds. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Hartford medical staff reported Miller had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12 months. This season Miller has recorded no saves with a 2-3 record. He's made no relief appearances, tossed 40 innings while fanning 30 with a 5.40 ERA. |
