Cabrera's 20-Game Hit Streak Ends Friday, May 4th, 2029 The streak has been snapped. Ramón Cabrera failed to get a hit in today's game against the Fort Worth HS Turkeys, bringing his 20-game hitting spree to an end. The 17-year-old Temiskaming District Secondary School first baseman was 0-for-4, but the Saints got the win and defeated the Turkeys 8-3. "I'm not disappointed at all -- I had a great run," Cabrera said. "I got to 20 games. I got my name into an elite group with a bunch of good ballplayers. What's there to complain about?" Cabrera's current batting average stands at .308 and he has chalked up 5 home runs and 26 RBIs. |
