Bentley Slaps 5 Hits Sunday, May 19th, 2030 It's not something you read about in the sports pages every day -- a 5-for-6 day. For many, it might come around only once in a career -- and for Gilbert Bentley, it came around today. The 18-year-old center fielder scattered hits all over Blues Ballpark to pace the Brookline HS Warriors to a 7-6 victory over the Grand Rapids HS Summit. Grand Rapids HS skipper Pedro Rivera told reporters in the press room that "Bentley deserves a hat-tip." "He hit some good pitches against us," he said. "In fact, according to our scouting reports, Bentley hit several that he is not supposed to be able to hit." Gilbert Bentley singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Marvin Harrison in the 10th.
