The 16-year-old Bishop Gorman HS Balbasaurs second baseman extended his streak today to 36 games, going 2-for-5 as Bishop Gorman HS got the best of the Coweta HS Tigers at Typhoons Ballpark, 15-9. "Valentín has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Balbasaurs manager Elijah Davidson said. Valentín Martínez hit a two-run home run off Jimmy Lewis in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 5th, flied out in the 6th, walked in a run in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. Martínez is swinging at a .431 pace on the year with 9 home runs, 44 RBIs and 43 runs scored. He has played in 37 games. |
