Red-Hot Smith Scorches Triplets Friday, May 10th, 2030 Swamp Bats first baseman Jonathan Smith had his way with Overland Park HS pitching today at Swamp Bats Stadium and mauled them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His efforts were all in vain, though, as the Triplets ruined his great day by toppling the Swamp Bats, 26-10. "I had a great day, but you've got to give Overland Park HS credit, they did what they had to do to win," he told reporters after the game. "They weren't very impressed with my 5 hits." "Oh, we noticed what Smith did today," Triplets skipper Joey Stamps said. "He had quite a game. I can tell you this, we will pitch him a little differently the next time we face him." Jonathan Smith hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
