Red-Hot Borrero Scorches Pirates Wednesday, May 8th, 2030 José Borrero was on fire today against the Oceanside HS Pirates but it was all in vain as Borrero's Rockets fell 6-5. For the game, the third baseman went 5-for-6 against Oceanside HS in a fine hitting display. "I got the pitches I was looking for and I connected," he said. "Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody and some days they fall in." José Borrero doubled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off John Kessler in the 9th and grounded out in the 10th.
