Oliver Ames HS Snaps Peterson's Streak at 25
Monday, May 6th, 2030
Mike Peterson's 25-game hitting streak was snapped today at Red Wings Ballpark. The 18-year-old Fresno HS Red Wings second baseman failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats in the game against the Oliver Ames HS Tigers, but Fresno HS came out the winner, 6-4.

"I don't think the streak was ever a big deal to Mike," Red Wings manager Roy MacDonald said after the game. "He ain't that type of guy. He just wants to help the team win ballgames."

This season Peterson is swinging the bat at a .442 rate with 68 hits in 154 at-bats. To date he has hit 7 home runs, scored 49 runs and driven in 41.
