Cabrera Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games

Ramón Cabrera has been on a tear for several weeks, and his hitting streak just keeps getting longer. The 18-year-old Temiskaming District Secondary School Saints first baseman extended his streak today to 20 games, going 2-for-3 as Temiskaming District Secondary School got the best of the Broken Arrow HS at Ballpark of Bethlehem HS, 22-20.
"Ramón has been playing real well lately and we're proud of him," Saints manager Troy Payne said. Ramón Cabrera walked in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, walked in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
Cabrera is presently hitting at a .385 pace with 9 home runs and 36 RBIs. He has played in 32 games and scored 39 times.
