Martínez's Hit Streak Soars to 31 Games Saturday, May 4th, 2030 Valentín Martínez of the Bishop Gorman HS Balbasaurs extended his hitting streak to 31 straight games with 2 hits in today's 13-8 triumph over the Randall HS Raiders at Classics Ballpark. "Valentín has been making it easy for me to pencil his name in the lineup every day," Balbasaurs manager Elijah Davidson joked after the game. Valentín Martínez walked in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Daniel Cortéz in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. So far this year in 32 games Martínez is hitting .415 with 7 home runs, 37 RBIs and 37 runs scored. |
