Swamp Bats End Ledoux's Streak Friday, May 3rd, 2030 The 37-game hitting streak of Santa Fe HS Chiefs shortstop Chris Ledoux came to an end today at Swamp Bats Stadium. The Jackson HS Swamp Bats held him hitless in 3 at-bats and also sent the Chiefs down to defeat, 2-0. Later, Ledoux acknowledged to BNN reporters that the hit streak meant something to him. "It was special," he said, "but I think other people make a bigger deal out of it than I do, or the players do. It was what we're all supposed to do; go out and hit the ball and try to score runs. It was a cool deal, but it's over now. Let's try to start a new one." So far this year, Ledoux is batting .462 with no home runs and 15 RBIs. |
