Martínez Runs Hit String to 25 Straight Games Sunday, April 28th, 2030 The hitting streak for Bishop Gorman HS second baseman Valentín Martínez now stands at 25 games, but the Balbasaurs dropped today's contest 14-7 to the Bishop Verot HS. Martínez went 3-for-6 in the game. "Things went well for me personally today," he said later. "I got 3 hits and the streak keeps going. But we didn't win the game." Valentín Martínez hit a solo-shot off Archie Sánchez in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.
