Thursday, April 25th, 2030
The H.H. Dow HS Chargers fell to the Madawaska Valley HS Wolves in Maniacs Ballpark today, even as 16-year-old center fielder Daniel Webb upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Webb finished with 1 hit in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Chargers from dropping the 20-11 decision.
"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Webb. Daniel Webb struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and walked in the 9th.
In 24 games this year Webb has posted a .306 average and put up these numbers: 8 home runs, 21 RBIs and 26 runs scored.
