"I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at Red Wings Ballpark." For the day, Howard collected 3 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 8 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Fresno HS skipper Roy MacDonald said. "Bob really put on a show." Bob Howard struck out in the 2nd, hit a three-run home run off Rubén Ocampo in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Ralph Bailey in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Greg William in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
