Sunday, May 27th, 2029
Martin Couturier is doubtful to make the playoffs this year, according to sources within the Penn State organization. Although the injury was initially thought to be not serious, tests have revealed the player will be out up to 12-13 months with a torn flexor tendon in his elbow. The 18-year-old reliever suffered the injury throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Kansas Jayhawks.

So far this season, Couturier has a 1-0 won-lost record with 2 saves. He has made 15 relief appearances, logged 32 innings and fanned 36 batters while fashioning a 3.66 ERA and allowing the opposition a .214 batting average.
