Jones Hits in 20 Straight Games Saturday, May 19th, 2029 The South Florida Bulls stopped the Mississippi State Bulldogs today 7-0 and Brian Jones collected a base hit yet again. The South Florida center fielder finished with 1 hit to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Jones told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Brian Jones grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. Jones is hitting .380 this year with 18 home runs and 44 RBIs. He also has an OBP of .482, 31 walks and scored 48 times. |
