Ryan Slams 5 Hits for Xavier
Monday, May 14th, 2029
It was almost a perfect day for Bobby Ryan.
The Xavier right fielder displayed a hot bat today, enjoying an outstanding 5-hit day, but something was missing: The Musketeers lost to the Texas Christian Horned Frogs, 16-6. Ryan told BNN reporters after the game that luck was "fickle."
Xavier manager Toshimichi Saikawa told the beat writers otherwise.
"There was no luck today," he said. "He got 5 hits because he has a solid approach to hitting and he put it all together today, and we lost because the rest of us didn't put it together so well."
Bobby Ryan singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off David Miller in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
In his 2029 season totals, Ryan has 17 home runs, .394 BA, .479 OBP, 54 RBIs and 44 runs scored.
