Iowa State Ace Named NCAA Dick Howser Award
Thursday, June 27th, 2030
He's only 21 years old, but Ray Reyes of the Iowa State Cyclones has clearly established himself as a star of College Baseball.

His status grew today as the ace pitcher was named the winner of the 2030 College Baseball Dick Howser Award.

"I just want to pitch well and win games," he said. "The awards are nice though."

Reyes's award-winning season saw him put up a 8-0 record through 12 starts, throwing 66.1 innings. He had 103 strikeouts with 13 walks and a 1.90 ERA. Opponents hit only .173 against him during the season.

Danny Gilbert of the Iowa State Cyclones finished second in voting, while Christopher McDonald of the Texas A&M Aggies finished third.
