NCAA Batter of the Month Honors to Gilbert Saturday, June 1st, 2030 It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 19 Danny Gilbert has a lot of baseball ahead of him. But for now the young Iowa State Cyclones star can enjoy the numbers he put up in May, which have garnered him the nod as the College Baseball Batter of the Month. His breakout month featured a .465 average with 15 home runs, 46 RBIs and 24 runs scored. This year Gilbert is batting .429 with 28 home runs and 89 RBIs. In 50 games he has scored 51 times. |
