Gómez's 20-Game Hit Streak Ends Saturday, May 18th, 2030 After 20 games, Creighton first baseman Carlos Gómez saw his hitting streak end when he went hitless in 4 at-bats. However, the Blue Jays still managed to take the win, topping the Mississippi Rebels 7-6 at Bass Ballpark. "It was a good run," Gómez said after the game. "It was bound to end at some point.
