Winters Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Friday, May 17th, 2030 Jimmy Winters continued his streak at Shipley Field today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Indiana right fielder was 1-for-3 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Hoosiers were not as fortunate, losing 8-7 to the Maryland Terrapins. "Winters was hitting everything we threw at him," said Maryland manager Victor Dillon. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Jimmy Winters walked in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and flied out in the 8th. Winters is hitting .289 in 2030 with 13 RBIs and 5 home runs. |
