Hits Blitz for Sooners Hickman Tuesday, May 14th, 2030 In an outing that will go down in the annals of baseball history, Oklahoma third baseman Paul Hickman hit for the cycle today as the Sooners marched to victory over the Oregon State Beavers, 12-0. Hickman collected 4 hits in 5 at-bats, including 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. He added 5 RBI and 2 runs scored to help Oklahoma take the L. Dale Mitchell Baseball Park contest. "It was the last thing on my mind, really," Hickman said. "I'm out there trying to get a blooper or a walk or whatever might help the team. Even if I had wanted to, hitting for the cycle is probably as much about luck as about skill anyway." Paul Hickman hit a two-run triple in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Vincent Pitts in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
