Golden Bears End Rosa's Streak
Wednesday, May 8th, 2030
It was the best of both worlds for the California Golden Bears today at Evans Diamond, as they defeated the Missouri Tigers 7-4 and also snapped Rodney Rosa's 34-game hitting streak. The 20-year-old Missouri center fielder failed to get a hit in 5 at-bats.

"Nothing personal against Rosa, we just wanted to win the game," said Golden Bears skipper Tim Hester. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing."

When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Rosa frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won."

Rosa is hitting .452 in 2030 with 33 RBIs and 8 home runs.
