Tigers Santiago Gone for Year
Tuesday, May 7th, 2030
The season is finished for Jim Santiago of the Clemson Tigers. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Tigers starting pitcher suffered a fractured elbow while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the South Carolina Gamecocks. Team doctors said it would take at least 4 months to heal.

So far this year Santiago has made 7 starts, tossed 29.1 innings, struck out 36 batters and walked 19. His record is 1-3 with a 7.36 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .274 batting average.
