Jones Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games
Sunday, May 5th, 2030
The South Florida Bulls may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 7-0 to the Washington State Cougars, but Brian Jones continued to hit like a god.

The center fielder collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.

"Jones is playing great and is on fire right now," Bulls manager José Yánez said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."

Jones was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss."
Brian Jones struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.

So far this season Jones has put up a .411 batting average with 51 hits, 12 home runs and 36 RBIs.
