Seminoles End Turner's Streak Monday, April 29th, 2030 Matt Turner, center fielder for the Texas Longhorns, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 5 tries against the Florida State Seminoles today. Not only did the Seminoles break his 21-game hitting streak, they also beat Texas by the score of 12-9. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Turner said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." For the year Turner is batting .381 with 43 hits and 2 home runs. He has scored 26 times and driven in 21. |
