Hit Streak Now at 20 for Turner Saturday, April 27th, 2030 Matt Turner, center fielder for the Texas Longhorns, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 3 hits in his club's 24-6 victory today over the Southern California Trojans at Dedeaux Field today. "Not the outcome we wanted," Southern California manager Mike Bowers said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Matt Turner struck out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, walked in a run in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, grounded out in the 7th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Tom Cook in the 8th and walked in the 8th. In this current campaign Turner is hitting at a .398 clip with 2 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
