Nittany Lions Lambright Gone for Year
Thursday, April 25th, 2030
The doctors have spoken and Dwayne Lambright of the Penn State Nittany Lions didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Lambright sustained his season-ending injury during the Duke Blue Devils game yesterday at Jack Coombs Field. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Penn State medical staff reported Lambright had a stretched elbow ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 10 months.
This year Lambright has notched 1 save. He has 19 strikeouts and 11 walks in 16 innings while registering a 4.50 ERA and a 1-1 won-lost record.
