López Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Sunday, April 21st, 2030 The Michigan Wolverines may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 4-2 to the Washington Huskies, but Roberto López continued to hit like a god. The center fielder collected 1 hit in 5 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. "López is playing great and is on fire right now," Wolverines manager Salvatorio Vincenti said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins." López was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Roberto López flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 5th, grounded out in the 8th and singled in the 9th. This year López has socked 36 hits in 90 at-bats for a .400 average with 7 home runs. He is getting on base at a .481 pace and his totals also include 26 RBIs and 28 runs scored. |
