Dunn Hits in 20 Straight Games
Sunday, April 14th, 2030
The Texas Tech Red Raiders may have proven to be mere mortals today as they lost 9-8 to the South Florida Bulls, but Marshall Dunn continued to hit like a god.
The right fielder collected 1 hit in 6 at-bats in the loss and extended his hitting streak to 20 games.
"Dunn is playing great and is on fire right now," Red Raiders manager Roberto Flores said. "Hopefully his play can spark the rest of our team and help us pick up some wins."
Dunn was apparently not happy with the game and when pressed by reporters in the locker room only said "nothing else matters but the loss." Marshall Dunn struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Ken Ware in the 6th, grounded out in the 8th and flied out in the 9th.
This year Dunn has collected a .404 batting average to date with 23 hits in 57 at-bats, 16 RBIs, 5 home runs and scored 15 times. He has played in 13 games.
