Hit Streak Now at 20 for Chase
Friday, April 12th, 2030
The Colorado Buffaloes fell to the Kentucky Wildcats in Cliff Hagan Stadium today, even as 20-year-old second baseman Larry Chase upped his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games. Chase finished with 2 hits in 4 at-bats, but could not stop the Buffaloes from dropping the 3-2 decision.
"Yeah, I kept my streak going, but it would have been better to come away with a win," said Chase. Larry Chase singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
Chase is hitting .420 so far this season with 6 RBIs and 8 runs scored. He has 21 hits including 4 home runs, 4 walks and .463 OBP.
