Bears Sierra Gone for Year
Thursday, April 11th, 2030
The season is finished for Rafael Sierra of the Baylor Bears. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Bears reliever suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Team doctors said it would take at least 13 months to heal.

Sierra has taken the hill for 5 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 1-1 record with a 8.10 ERA. The Baylor reliever has limited opposing batters to a .261 batting average.
